ISOLDE PRINGIERS + STEPHANIE FREDERICKX
Isolde Pringiers + Stéphanie FrederickxBoth of us inspired by style and creativity, we decided to curate a show together, exploring the tension between bold, edgy creations and pure architectural lines. More than ever, we present artistic pieces that we believe belong in our everyday lives. Raised in Sri Lanka and studied Japanology in Japan, ISOLDE PRINGIERS later ran an architectural practice in Bulgaria, where she also co-founded a lifestyle magazine. In Brussels, she formerly ran a contemporary design gallery in Brussels and published books on art and design, including on her mother’s work.
STÉPHANIE FREDERICKX operates as a gallery and curator, in Europe and Mexico presenting a diverse program of artists and designers. She blends established and emerging talents who occupy the grey zone between art, landscape, and design, focusing on pure form and the essence of materials. Drawing on her background in Belgian fashion and shoemaking, she creates exhibitions that evoke stillness and serenity, often collaborating with galleries or architects to highlight the raw, inherent beauty of each work.
Townhouse Pringiers by GLENN SESTIG architects
Located in the heart of Brussels’ Sablon district, Townhouse Pringiers embodies the intersection of art, architecture, and design. The home, owned by a passionate collector with a Tadao Ando family residence in Sri Lanka, balances private retreat and public engagement.Set within a majestic listed townhouse, the renovation preserves the original façade while transforming the interior. The lower levels serve as public exhibition spaces, while the upper floors provide a serene private refuge.A bespoke black metal staircase connects all levels, acting as a sculptural centerpiece against white walls and light timber floors. At the rear, large floor-to-ceiling windows open to the greenery of Egmont Park, flooding the space with natural light.
