As a curator she is passionate about blending styles, embraces diversity and pushes beyond the ordinary. In her approach, emotion, love for material and respect for harmony are key elements. This all results in exhibitions presenting well-known, established artists, designers next to lesser-known and up-and-coming ones. What they all have in common is their position in the grey zone between art, landscapes and design, eliminating superfluous frills down to the essence, the pure form.
With a background in Belgian fashion and in shoemaking, she uses her own artistic heritage and material knowledge in these scenography’s, often collaborating with other galleries or architects, curating a collection of works that display a sense of stillness and serenity. This feeling is strengthened by the use of raw and inherent beauty found in various materials.
